Hi Sherri & Denice! Thanks for asking and for calling. While we love so much about this old building, this is one aspect that disappointed us as well. The existing elevator was too outdated to use and, given the size, cannot be simply modified to meet current code. We are saving up to be able to invest in this next renovation stage and replacing the elevator. We definitely have it marked as a major priority and are also disappointed it couldn't be in Stage 1 of our renovations of this historic building, but the quotations received just were not realistic at that stage for us. We worked extremely hard to ensure the main floor restaurant met ADA standards and prepped the other floors to be as well, so once the elevator is installed, all guests can comfortably enjoy all floors. We are eager to add vital piece to our ongoing renovation of the Historic Washington House Hotel. If there is anything we can do in the meantime, please let us know. Please know we are working on it
